Lovers Beach does not have a normal signed public walking route from Cabo San Lucas. Most visitors reach it by water taxi, boat tour or guided paddling outing.
There are local accounts of scrambling along the coastal rocks from the Cannery Beach area. That is different from a maintained visitor trail: exposed rock, gaps beside the water and changing conditions can make the route hazardous.

What Do People Mean by “Walking to Lovers Beach”?
Some accounts use “walk” for a route that involves climbing or scrambling around rocks near the waterline. That description can be misleading if you expect a beach promenade or an ordinary hiking path.
We acknowledge those local accounts, but do not recommend the scramble as a tourist access route. A person completing it on one visit does not establish permission or suitable conditions for another.
Why the Waterline Route Needs Caution
A gap that looks manageable in a photograph may require climbing above water or crossing a wave-washed section. Conditions can change before the return journey, and being physically fit does not remove the exposure.
Do not use a predicted tide or a timed race against the water as an access plan. Do not climb restricted rocks, cross private land or swim around an obstacle to continue.
Driving Nearby Does Not Create a Footpath

If you want a land-based hike around Cabo, confirm that the chosen route is open and permitted. A viewpoint hike is a separate activity from walking down to Lovers Beach.
Arrive by Boat Instead
Water taxis and boat tours can take you to the beach when landing conditions permit. Agree on the return pickup, and ask how you will get on and off before booking.
Viewing Lovers Beach from a boat is also an option if landing does not suit your group. A beach stop may involve a ladder and getting your feet wet.
Walking Across to Divorce Beach
The sandy connection between Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach is a different matter from reaching the area on foot from town. Crossing between the beaches may be possible when access is open.

Do not confuse either beach walk with permission to go beneath El Arco. The exposed-sand area under the Arch has its own access restrictions.
