July brings strong daytime heat and warmer nights to Cabo San Lucas. Rain becomes more plausible than in the very dry spring months, with considerable differences between individual years.

Rain and seasonal conditions
The station records a higher July rainfall normal than June, with considerable variation possible between years. Rain can be concentrated in a short event. A monthly average cannot tell you how many hours of a particular holiday will be wet or whether a trip will be disrupted.
Swimming and time on the water
Warm weather can make beach and water activities appealing, but wind, swell, visibility and local restrictions still govern them. Do not assume that a summer evening guarantees a suitable sunset cruise or that an offshore forecast matches a sheltered bay.

Give yourself a slower pace in the hotter part of the day. Beach time when permitted, local food and a town walk can be combined with shaded breaks. Confirm seasonal gallery events before arranging a trip around them, and check current access for wetland or nature outings.

Pack breathable clothes, sun protection, swimwear and a light rain layer. Keep cameras and important belongings protected from water on boat trips. Bring drinking water for time outside and plan access to shade rather than relying on cloud cover for relief.
