Water Taxi To Lovers Beach Cabo

Two water taxis at Medano Beach

Water taxis to Lovers Beach commonly use small outboard-powered boats known locally as pangas. Some trips use glass-bottom or clear boats, combining transport with a view of the coastline and marine life below.

For the beach’s setting and what to bring, see our Lovers Beach guide. This article focuses on choosing the boat, getting ashore and organizing the return.

Choose Transport or Sightseeing

A beach transfer, a sightseeing loop around the Arch and a clear-boat tour can be sold as different products. Ask whether the fare includes a landing at Lovers Beach, time ashore and a return pickup.

The boat may pass the beach without landing if that is the booked itinerary or if conditions prevent a stop. Confirm what happens to your booking in that situation.

Panga, Glass-Bottom or Clear Boat

A panga offers an open-boat experience close to the water. Glass-bottom and clear boats add underwater viewing when visibility allows. Compare comfort, shade, boarding arrangements and the actual route as well as the hull design.

Boarding from the Marina or Médano Beach

Confirm the exact meeting point and whether departure is from a dock or the beach. Bring the booking instructions, and tell the operator about mobility needs or anyone who may need help boarding.

Ask for suitable life jackets and follow the crew’s instructions for wearing them. Keep loose belongings secure and remain seated when instructed while the boat is moving.

Getting On and Off at Lovers Beach

The boat in the existing photograph has a bow ladder. Other boats may use different arrangements. Ask how your particular boat handles landing, rather than assuming every vessel has the same equipment.

A beach transfer may involve stepping into water. Wait for the crew’s instructions and use the provided access equipment. Do not jump out or assume the water is shallow enough to stand.

The footage shows a boarding arrangement on one visit. Wave action, water depth and the boat used can be different on your day.

Agree on the Return Pickup

  • Confirm that the fare covers the return journey.
  • Agree on the pickup time and meeting place.
  • Record the boat’s name and a contact method if available.
  • Ask what to do if weather or access conditions change.
  • Leave enough time for your onward journey or cruise-ship deadline.

Do not rely on an unspecified last boat or assume another operator will honour your original fare. Keep the return plan clear before the first boat leaves you.

Fare and Inclusions

Check our water-taxi cost guide for rough budgeting and a published price example. Compare the whole offer, including sightseeing, landing, return travel and any additional charges.

Booking in advance may help organize the outing, but it does not automatically guarantee a lower fare or free cancellation. Read the terms for the specific service.

Swimming and the Two Beach Sides

Keep clear of arriving boats if you enter the water. Our Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach comparison explains why the bay side and Pacific side need different decisions.

Bring water, sun protection and the supplies needed for the stay. Keep the boat trip and beach swim separate in your planning, especially if anyone prefers to remain dry.
